We have an appetite for change

Hunger, education, children’s wellness—these are just a few areas we support through our donations

We know that it takes more than great food to nourish a vibrant community. That’s why we created the Wildflower Cares Foundation. Since our founding in 1996, we are proud to support local organizations through volunteerism, events, fundraising and giving.

Poverty and Hunger Relief

Our handmade bread is baked before dawn and donated after dusk. In fact, since 2009 Wildflower has donated over $2.4 million worth of fresh of bread and bakery items to help the hungry. Every night we donate our unsold baked goods to local shelters and hunger relief agencies throughout Arizona.

Additionally, Wildflower has partnered with Loyola Academy, donating breakfast every morning for the entire school year to its students. Loyola Academy provides scholarship education to academically gifted sixth, seventh and eighth grade boys from underprivileged families.

Children’s Wellness

We choose to partner with organizations that create a safe haven for children threatened by abuse, neglect or homelessness. We believe that every child needs a place to call home so that they can thrive and grow to make our community stronger. Currently, we partner with Child Crisis Arizona, the Valley’s longest-serving children’s shelter

Wildflower is proud to align with organizations whose mission is to help our children and their families learn beyond the classroom. Our education grants are awarded to programs that make cultural experiences accessible and affordable in Arizona. Through our Dough on the Go™ program, 10 percent of every baguette sale is donated to a local educational institution. Proceeds from our Valley stores go to Children’s Museum of Phoenix, while baguette sales from our Northern stores support the public library system. When we have resources to spare, we also support parent-teacher organizations, clubs and schools through food donations, gift card donations, Scrip and our Neighborhood Nights program.

Women’s Empowerment

A glance at our culture and society reveals an unfortunate truth: women struggle for human rights, health care and economic empowerment. We believe women everywhere are the pillar of our families and communities, and so many of them need the tools to build a brighter future. That’s why we are committed to working with organizations that care for, connect and create communities for women. Though great progress is made daily, there is work still to be done in giving women the voices and opportunities they deserve.

Animal Advocacy

Did you know Maricopa County has the second highest euthanasia rate in the nation? We have a great opportunity to help these animals find clean and comfortable homes, nutritious food, care and love. We currently partner with Home ‘Fur’ Good and support its mission to make a positive difference in the lives of homeless cats and dogs in Arizona.
